Get Ready for Week Two of GiveWise December

Happy Days of Giving!

Last week we announced we would be releasing new content for our exclusive GiveWise Calendar each week. What is the GiveWise Calendar? We wanted to create a calendar with fun, small ways to show gratitude and give back to yourself and your community. It’s kind of like an Advent calendar but one focused on food and connection. This is our Thank You to you and our many supporters.

If you missed last week’s calendar, not to worry, find it here in case you’re in need of some extra activities for you and your family.

Already tuned in to our Days of Giving? Share how you’ve been showing gratitude and giving back on Facebook (@TasteWiseKids) or Instagram (@tastewise_kids)! You can also email us at info@tastewisekids.org. And keep your eyes peeled for more content coming your way!

See below week two’s giving activities or download a pdf of the calendar here. Having trouble accessing some of our links? See a list of this week’s giving activities in the instructions below for easier access.

Instructions

Just like you would use an advent calendar, check the activity for each day on our GiveWise calendar throughout the month of December. You can choose to complete the activities every day or just on the days that work best for you and your family.

Below are the activities for the second week of the month.

Monday December 7th

Send a letter, text or give a phone call to someone you haven’t talked to in a while.

Tuesday December 8th

Submit a question about food, farming and nutrition to be answered in our Ask and Expert series.

Wednesday December 9th

Donate food or funds to a local food bank or shelter.

Thursday December 10th

Give friends and family suggestions about great local farms, restaurants and other food organizations to support.

Friday December 11th

If you can, make a donation to TWK to support our work teaching kids how to build healthy eating habits.

Saturday December 12th

Share a meal with someone you love, whether in person or virtual.

Sunday December 13th

Make a point of buying something from a BIPOC owned business, whether food related or not.
